Free Expression Tunnel
The Free Expression Tunnel, one of NC State’s iconic landmarks. It provides students a place to express their thoughts and feelings – everything from “happy birthday” to club meeting announcements. Grab some spray paint and make your mark!
Near the Free Expression Tunnel is Wolf Plaza, located near several residence halls and the Talley Student Union, features a trio of bronze wolf sculptures by artist Michael Stutz.

Student Expression includes many of NC State's opportunities for students to express themselves. This can include expression through art like painting and spray paint or through dance, music, and even theatre.
NC State boasts one of the nation's best theatre programs that grow interested students from beginners to professionals, ready to use their craft. Our band, orchestras, and acapella groups provide opportunities for all those musically inclined to be involved.
