Garden & Chicken Coop
The garden and chicken coop are both student run, environmentally sustainable initiatives! The garden is home to some fig and citrus trees, as well as seasonal herbs and greens. The coop houses around 6 chickens, and you might see one of the caretakers taking a few hens for a walk on a leash!

🍊 Campus Gardens
Pitzer's campus is designed to be sustainable, so there aren't as many open fields of grass that prospective students might find at other universities. Most of the campus is covered with drought tolerant plants, or plants indigenous to the area. Additionally, Pitzer has a plethora of fruit trees and its very own community garden, graciously maintained by the Pitzer Garden Club. The harvest is used at our student-run eateries.
