Post-Grad Preparation
👨🏼🎓 Post-Grad Preparation
Career Services takes a multifaceted approach to helping students discover potential career interests. Our career advisors help students consider their values, interests, and skills through career advising, discovery workshops, and assessments. They then help students utilize those skills to secure opportunities! Office resources include job postings, on-campus recruiting, the Pitzer Internship Fund, and building networking skills & contacts. Additional resources help students explore concrete job opportunities, including career fairs, field trips, informational interviewing, Pitzer Professional Network, Winter Break Shadowing, and employer information sessions. Advisors and student assistants are also available to help with grad school preparation, resume and cover letter writing workshops, and more.
Pitzer Internship Fund
The Pitzer Internship Fund (PIF) provides funding for unpaid or very low-paid summer internships. The goal of the fund is to support student engagement in meaningful internship experiences that facilitate career exploration and the development of professional skills and networks. Participation in internship experiences has significant benefits for a student’s long-term career prospects, and students have used funds from PIF to pursue internships at a wide range of companies and organizations around the world.
