Cornell Engineering aims to have every student earn a leadership credential from the program, enabling them to be capable, confident and collaborative team members and leaders.

⭐ Undergraduate Research across Cornell

All Cornell students, regardless of major, can participate in research opportunities with renowned faculty. Each year, thousands of Cornell undergraduates engage in fieldwork or faculty-led laboratory-based projects, earning academic credit, building relationships and contributing to scholarship that benefits people around the globe. Students also find support through student-led groups like the Cornell Undergraduate Research Board, which hosts academic symposia and colloquia as well as peer-mentoring opportunities.
